Pages: 453, paperback
Release Date: May 1st 2012 by HarperTeen

The Plot:

Embrace the Forbidden

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

My Review:

5/5 stars!

I didn't want to read it at first, but then I came to my senses and downloaded it. I was bored at the first part; I didn't like books that starts with a party and things like that. It made the book feel so mainstream and normal. But then came along this hott (yes, with a double t) drummer guy and changed the main protagonist's life.

Anna Whitt had never disobeyed Patti, her guardian. But it all started when she met the hott drummer guy. Anna knew that something was different, because she wasn't able to read Kaidan's aura. Instead, she kept on seeing red. She eventually ends up meeting Kaidan on a party, with him saving her from almost kissing Scott, a classmate who placed drugs on her drink. Soon enough, she feels herself falling for him, even with the knowledge that they couldn't be together.

Kaidan Rowe is the son of the Duke of Lust, so I guess you already know what his "work" is. He acts like a gentleman whenever Patti is with Anna. He calls her "Ann", that made Anna feel giddy at times. Kaidan actually fights his desire to take Anna's virginity, because he says that it feels wrong while they are not committed. He has his own way of keeping his eyes on Anna though, and that alone is swoon-worthy.

This book will give you another thoughts about angels, demons and nephilims. This book won't disappoint you at all!

My Review:

“Don’t say it again … Because I won’t say it back”

This book was even more amazing than the first. The angst was so intense that I could feel it directly emanating from the characters. In Knight and Stay, Sophie clearly wanted to forget everything about Lucien and vice versa, but neither of them could do it. Ate first, they set out rules so that they could keep their "relationship" in a business-like state. But when they headed out to Paris, well, let's just say that rules are made to be broken.

Lucien's past was mostly discussed here, and it answers all your questions from the first book. Lucien also states here that he didn't want to be married or to be "shackled" to a woman, one thing that made Sophie feel different in a way.

Dan had a point of view here, but mostly it didn't help since we all know what happened between him and Maria. He surprises Sophie at one point though, and the fact that Lucien was just at her disposal helped ease the issue.

There were a lot of arguing scenes, which I liked since those scenes expose almost everything that a character hides and desires, and so, everything was exposed, including the fact that(view spoiler)

It was a great read and I adored the way that everything was put in place like a jigsaw puzzle with a very beautiful picture!

My Review:

4.5/5 stars

I thought that this book was going to be another Fifty Shades type. Well, at first, it really was. The main character, Sophie Black, was just like any other character in an erotic novel, except for one thing: she was married (not a spoiler, by the way). But ever since Lucien waltzed into her life, everything changed.

Lucien was battling his own personal demons, and he had a hard time opening up to other people. He had this mentality that he wasn't supposed to fall in love, because heartbreaks weren't his "thing". At first I thought it was actually lame that he shut love off his life. But then when I learned about the reason, I understood. You will too if it happened to you.

Dan, Sophie's husband, was a complete jerk. In the story, they were happily married until Sophie realized that Dan hadn't been there for her lately. And thus, the reason as to why Sophie agreed to do things with Lucien.

But the most wonderful part about Sophie? Is the way that she tried to hold on to her marriage, even though it really wasn't working out.

The ending was really a cliff-hanger! But I totally loved it!

This book is a must read for those who loved the Fifty Shades Trilogy!
